Aanii!  Hello there.  So here I am back on Manitoulin Island where at night, like last, the sky was filled with stars!  A beauty scene in every direction, and at 5 a.m., with the crescent moon sailing, the beautiful moonlight, and peace, a grand reminder of why we moved to the back country of Tehkummah.  Beauty scenes!

And so we’re off and running at the Peel Art Gallery and Museum, (PAMA), on 9 Wellington Street in Brampton.  The show, From the Heart of Turtle Island, Contemporary Art from Manitoulin Island, officially opened this past Sunday and what a great show opening it was, complete with a full house, a few of the artists on hand, a singing and dance demonstration, and beauty mild climes up around 9 degrees on Jan. 31st.

My pieces in the show:

“TV Reception on a Remote Indian Reserve: Bear Clan Channel”, 24×36 inches, acrylic on canvas, $900.

“TV Reception on a Remote Indian Reserve: Homage to Norval Morrisseau”, 30×40 inches, acrylic on canvas.  $1 500.

Just send me an email if you’re interested in these pieces.  They will be at PAMA until March 20th!
