and so!!!  we made it.  the band, No Reservations, the classic native rock and roll party band from 1994 to 2000, rolled back into the Northern Lights Music Festival on Thursday, July 6th.  first time seeing the light of day in 17 years!  and first time the 4 of us stood in the same room at the same time in a walloping 17 years!!!

me and Jen backstage, by the No Rez dressing room door, 20 minutes before the show.  hey man we were scared!!!  the butterflies were everywhere!  thank the almighty we had our kids with us:

that’s Jasmine Moon, Jen, and her daughter, Hunter, backstage, before the war whoop.  we were pretty cool at this point in time, with a full two hours to go before show time.  it nearly took my breath away to see Jazzy Moon and Hunter, the young native women, in with the likes of a great entertainer like Jen.  the kids have only ever heard the NR records, maybe seen a video, or heard the stories.  but on Thursday night they got a chance to see the real deal!

showtime!  i was in back wondering where everyone was.  turns out they were called up!  a third of a house but i was terrified anyway.  but let me tell you this:  next year when we play this stage that house will be packed to the flipping rafters!

Shag in action:  working that new horse, and sweating big time as his vocal is a big part of the No Rez show.

Shawn Corbiere working his way through “Dream Catcher”, a classic NR song going all the way back to the earliest days.  and speaking of earliest days:  Mr. S.C. has been with the outfit all the way since D Day.

Jen working the congas.  hey man, playing those things is more work than playing a guitar!

twinravens:  yours truly going to work on the only original 6 string from our first rock and roll days.

the original line up of NR, in the dressing room right after our first gig in 17 years, with our children, who have never seen the mighty NR in full rock and roll.

well now they have.  and so have we!  it was a remarkable experience to hear Raven Moon fire up at the hands of 3 guitar players and 3 vocalists.  a rumbling sound that should be heard all over the world.

after i had a chance to settle down i found myself at sunrise looking at this:

sunrise on the range, back home in Tehkummah, July 7th, after the big gig.

sunrise and fun memories:

yeah:  we have to get back into show business.  we’re going again today so more fun photos to follow and i hope a few fun videos.  and of course a great rock and roll show!
